We had The Medal with Blue Ribbon award ceremony at Gifu Grand Hotel for the Chairman Shigemitsu Asahi.

We had The Medal with Blue Ribbon award ceremony at Gifu Grand Hotel for the Chairman Shigemitsu Asahi inviting Mr. Hajime Furuta, the governor of Gifu prefecture, Mr. Tetsuhiro Muto, the mayor of Mino city, Mr. Jim Barnes, the mayor of city of Richmond, and many guests including the Chairman’s relatives and employees of our company. During the ceremony, the Chairman received the titles of honorary citizen of Richmond and Kentucky Colonel from the mayor Mr. Jim Barnes. The title of Kentucky Colonel is the honorary title that is given to the person who contributed to Kentucky. Harland David Sanders, the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken Corp. also received the same title and it is said that he has been called as ‘Colonel Sanders’ since then. The title was also given to Lyndon B. Johnson, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and Bill Clinton, the former presidents. Additionally, Sir Winston Churchill, the former prime minister of UK, Muhammad Ali, and Tiger Woods received this title and it became a huge honor along with the award of Medal with Blue Ribbon.
